They are noted for being one of the best all round teams in the game due to having excellent players in key positions: Abbiati in goal, Alessandro Nesta, Thiago Silva and Ignazio Abate in defence, Clarence Seedorf, Mark van Bommel and Kevin-Prince Boateng in midfield, Pato, Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Antonio Cassano up front. They are very effective in a 4-3-3 formation due to the strength of the three forwards Antonio Cassano, Pato and Ibrahimovic.

[edit] PES 2012

Milan use the 4-1-2-1-2 tactic with Ambrosini or van Bommel as DMF. Seedorf and Aquilani alternate with Nocerino and Emanuelson as CMF. Boateng and Cassano are the AMF. In attack Ibrahimovic and Pato are the best players, however Robinho, El Shaarawy and Inzaghi can also be dangerous as substitutes. A 4-2-1-3 formation is also possible but Cassano must be used as SS.

The recruitment of a striker is needed in Master League, while selling one or two of their players is recommended due to their relatively large and ageing squad.

[edit] PES 2013

After a large summer clearout, ageing stars Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf, Mark van Bommel and Gianluca Zambrotta all left the club while Filippo Inzaghi decided to retire. Also, key players Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic departed the club for the wealthy PSG. However, Milan did bring in players such as Bojan Krkic, Giampaolo Pazzini, Nigel de Jong, Riccardo Montolivo and Kevin Constant, as well as rising stars Bakaye Traore and M'Baye Niang. During the Winter Transfer Window, AC Milan bought the Italian forward Mario Balotelli from Man City. AC Milan are no longer considered to be an excellent team in the game but are still better than average.
