Alan Shearer is a retired England international who is found in PES 2009 in the Classic England squad, under the false name of Shirare. Shearer was known for his clinical finishing and being in the mould of the perfect target as he has power and is deadly with any foot and with his head making him known as England's best striker for a number of years. Shearer is most famous for winning the Premier League with Blackburn and remaining loyal to Newcastle for ten years despite not winning any silveware. He managed his beloved Newcastle towards the end of the 2008/09 season, however he was unable to save them from being relegated to the second tier of English football. He currently works as a pundit for the BBC football highlights show "Match of the Day".

To make him appear in modes such as Be a Legend and Master League when starting these modes make sure that "Hidden Players" option is put to "Yes".
