Albert Riera is a Spanish winger playing for Liverpool following his deadline day transfer from Espanyol. He is a very good winger and gives Liverpool more strength on the left following the departure of John Arne Riise. Riera also solves the winger problem that Liverpool have with Yossi Benayoun being the only natural winger in their squad.

Riera, along with Louis Saha , Massimo Oddo and Thiago Motta are players that don't appear in the PS2 version of PES 2009.
