Andrea Pirlo is a midfielder from Italy born to Romani parents. He currently plays for AC Milan. In real life, he is considered by many to be perhaps the best deep-lying play-maker in the world and his stats reflect this. Pirlo is a terrific midfielder in the game. He dictates games with his pinpoint short pass accuracy and he has the guile and technique to set up attacks with his high dribbling accuracy. Pirlo works best, as in real life with a player considered to be a 'workhorse' like Gattuso and this is one of the reasons why AC Milan work so efficiently in the game.

Pirlo really comes into his own when taking set pieces though. He is probably the best corner taker in the game, with brilliant free kick, swerve and long pass accuracy stats. He is also a threat from direct free-kicks with the same ability and his free-kick style is easy to use. Although ageing, he is still one of the best midfielders on the game.
