Angola were brought on to the game during PES6, due to them qualifying for the 2006 World Cup and also made a return on PES08. Having a very weak team statistically they lack any real class. The most noticeable players on the team are Akwa, Mantorras, Manucho, Flavio and Figueiredo. Angola have not being licensed throught the series, which means all of their players coming under fake names. Angola wear red and black home kit and a white away kit.

Other notable players include winger Ze Kalanga who has a decent turn of pace and develops well in the Master League mode, and holding player Ze Augusto who is a decent choice for a starting berth in the middle of the park.

Some PES fans also perceive some of the Angolan squad as darkhorses in the Master League, as they are known for their somewhat impressive development curves, for a squad seen as minnows. Ze Kalanga (as stated above), Loco and Mendonca who can all develop to a reasonable standard.

Angola aren't in PES 2009 much to the disappointment of fans but are reinstated in PES 2010.
