Anthony Vanden Borre is a right back from Belgium. He currently plays for Portsmouth on loan from Genoa and also is included in the game due to being part of the Belgian national team. Vanden Borre has been included in the PES Series since PES4 and in each installment since then. Vanden Borre is a strong, hard tackling right back with decent pace and a powerful header. Being very versatile he can step-up as backup for any Master League team.

Along with fellow Belgian Vincent Kompany, Vanden Borre, is also regarded as one of the best developing defenders in the game and many have made the decision to pair the two of them together in their Master League teams.

Vanden Borre caused controversy in PES4 where he was given the Caucasian skin colour, this error was fixed in later editions.
