Argentina (pronounced ar-jen-TEE-na) are a football team that have appeared in every game in the Pro Evolution Soccer series. They are classed as being one of the best national teams in the game due to having so many world class attacking players. They have been licensed in PES 6 until PES 2012 and play in a home strip of sky blue and white striped shirts, black shorts and white socks and an away strip of navy blue shirts, white shorts and navy blue socks.

The best way to use Argentina is to attack. Normally this means a 4-4-2 formation with 2 holding midfielders, usually Javier Mascherano and Fernando Gago and 2 attacking or side midfielders such as Maxi Rodriguez, Lucho Gonzalez or Angel Di Maria. It is also possible to play a more offensive 4-3-3 with 2 holding midfielders but 1 attacking midfielder in Juan Sebastian Veron supporting 2 support strikers (normally Lionel Messi and either Carlos Tevez or Sergio Aguero) and 1 out and out striker (either Lisandro Lopez or Gonzalo Higuain). The aging defence and the goalkeeper is seen as the weak link due to no really world class players in these positions.
