Arsenal FC (known as North London on PES due to lack of Premier League licenses) have appeared on every edition of Pro Evolution Soccer to date. Arsenal were licensed in PES5 and PES6 but were axed in PES2008 to be replaced by Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Players

Arsenal are a team that have strength and depth in all areas but after the departure of PES legend, Thierry Henry, they are arguably not as good as they should be. They have a consistent goalkeeper with Manuel Almunia. In front of him are William Gallas, Thomas Vermaelen, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna. Their midfield is more than impressive with Cesc Fabregas, Tomas Rosicky and Samir Nasri. Plus with strikers such as Robin van Persie and Eduardo Da Silva, their strike force is deadly.

In past PES games their squad has featured many world class players (in addition to Henry) such as Dennis Bergkamp, Fredrik Ljungberg, Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira and Sylvain Wiltord who were all great at their peak. More recently talented midfielders Aliaksandr Hleb, Mathieu Flamini and Emmanuel Adebayor left much to many PES players' disappointment.

The Arsenal youngsters are also very promising after a few years of development. Once the players reach their peak, they turn into some of the best players in the game. Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Armand Traore, Carlos Vela, Denilson and Alexandre Song are the players with a very high development curve.
