Atletico Madrid are a Spanish club from Madrid who play in La Liga. They are historically a strong team both domestically and internationally.

In PES they are capable of boasting a very strong squad with players such as Diego Forlan, Sergio Aguero and Maxi Rodriguez within their ranks, Maxi and Aguero do however develop to over 90 in the Master League. They're incredible attacking flair leaves them a little unbalanced, with a relatively weak defensive base to build upon.

PES 2010

In PES 2010 Atletico have a very thin squad consisting of just 22 players after a hectic summer with many players leaving and new players arriving. The new faces that are on show are rookie keepers, Sergio Asenjo and Roberto, but the highest profile signing is Juanito who is set to replace departed defender John Heitinga. Other departures include influential keepers, Coupet, Leo Franco and midfield starlets Luis Garcia and Ever Banega.
