The English league, more formally known as the Premiership contains 20 teams that represent the 20 Premier League clubs of England. As of October 2007; there have been 5 licenced clubs. When a team has been licenced the name will no longer be "fake" or made-up such as Berkshire Blues as Reading FC. The clubs that have been licenced in the English League are:

• Arsenal (Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and 6)
• Chelsea (Pro Evolution Soccer 5)
• Manchester United (Pro Evolution Soccer 6, 2009 and 2010)
• Newcastle United (Pro Evolution Soccer 2008)
• Tottenham Hotspur (Pro Evolution Soccer 2008)
• Liverpool (Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and 2010)
