Bayer Leverkusen (pronounced BYE-er LAY-ver-koo-zen) are a German team that due to licensing issues, have never featured in a PES title. This has caused major criticism towards Konami as some feel that Leverkusen used to be one of the great European teams.
The team has very good players such as Simon Rolfes, Tranquillo Barnetta, Bernd Schneider and Hans Sarpei.
PES option file creators often include Leverkusen in their team-list as many believe that they are one of few teams from the Bundesliga that should be in PES2009.
