Charlton Athletic are an English club which appeared in PES 4, 5 and 6 before being relegated to the Championship. They were an average club in the PES series usually finishing mid-table in the English League. Their best players were Danish player Dennis Rommedahl (who now plays for Brondby) and ex England international player Luke Young. In 2009, they were relegated to England's third division (Football League One) along with Norwich City and Southampton who also made an appearance in the PES series.
