Cristian Chivu (pronounced KEE-vu) is a player who is currently playing for Internazionale. He is also a member of the Romanian national team. He is regarded as one of the top defenders in the game and also regarded as the most skillful defender on the game.

Master League

Playing in centre of defence is Chivu's registered position, but he is equally capable when playing as a left-back. Chivu is more than the normal defender, he has excellent free-kick stats, long pass ability, speed and technique. Chivu is another reason why Internazionale are one of the best club sides in the game. Chivu comes to life in Master League Mode, however. In both PES5 and PES6, he would develop to a 90 upwards development curve and was one of the elites in the game. After the jump to next generation Chivu does not develop as much as he did in previous games, like a lot of players but is still a recommended purchase when playing Master League.
