Egypt are an African national team and one of the most powerful nations from the continent. They recently won the African Nations Cup for the third time in a row and are a stronger side recently because of Amr Zaki. Other notable players include Mido (currently banned from playing), captain Ahmed Hassan, Mohammed Abo Treka, Mohamed Zidan, Hossam Ghaly and Mohamed Shawky. They also have an experienced goalkeeper in Essam El-Hadary. In PES 13, the egyptian side is less strong than before because of the end of the "golden generation" of Ahmed Hassan and co. with lot of young players.

Due to the Egyptians using a totally different alphabet, some names may have more than one way of being spelled when using Latin characters.
