Eidur Gudjohnsen is an Icelandic striker playing for AS Monaco after moving from Barcelona. He was absent from the original version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 for unknown reasons but was correctly added in the November Update.

Controversially he was then axed from the Barcelona squad in the February Update for unknown reasons and added yet again in the March Update.

For Barcelona standards, Gudjohnsen was only an average player and was behind the likes to Eto'o Messi Henry and Bojan in the pecking order, it seemed that Barcelona is too big of a club for Eidur. But for Monaco he is considered a vital player due to his goalscoring ability.

PES 2010

In the demo of the game, he still plays for Barcelona despite transferring to Monaco. He has the card of Dummy Runner which attracts the defenders to create space for fellow players to exploit.
