This is the first appearence of Derdiyok in the series. He is a ninteen year old forward playing for FC Basel. He is almost unplayable in the game having just a yellow stat (80) in speed.

In PES 2009 Derdiyok plays for FC Basel and the Swiss national team. He develops into one of the best Swiss players in the Master League and has the ability to drift through opposition defences with ease. His height also makes him a formidable player in the air similarly to fellow countryman Marco Streller. Anyway his default stats are still pretty poor with peak ratings being 81 in balance, 80 in speed and 79 in acceleration. It is likely that Derdiyok will be more prominent in future PES games.

He received a little stat boost and now he has decent shot and heading stats but is still a mediocre player. He only appears in the national team because Leverkusen is not included in the game.

He gained a Preset Face in PES 2013 because of his involvement in the Swiss national team. He is a decent forward with a good level of speed and power.
