Everton (known as Merseyside Blue on PES due to lack of Premier League licenses) have appeared on every edition of Pro Evolution Soccer to date. But have never been licensed, they have a small squad but it's very impressive. They have a strong rivalry with neighbours Liverpool and Manchester United.

Everton have one of the smallest squads in the English Premier League but do manage to put up a challenge with great players such as Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta. They have a promising winger in Steven Pienaar who starts off well enough, and later develops into a top winger in Master League mode. Other Everton stars in the making are Victor Anichebe, Jack Rodwell, Jose Baxter and James Vaughan who become top strikers when at their peak. Often Everton just play one striker which is either Jo or Louis Saha which can sometimes result in a difficulty in getting on the scoresheet although this is made up for by a wealth of quality defenders such as Joleon Lescott, Phil Jagielka and Joseph Yobo.

Many great PES players have played for Everton previously in the series with Wayne Rooney being the most notable.
