Fabio Cannavaro is a retired Italian defender who last played for Al Ahli in 2010/2011. He chose to retire on 9 July 2011, exactly 5 years after lifting the World Cup. He joined the Arabian club after one year spell back at Juventus, where he played also from 2004 to 2006. Fabio is widely regarded as one the best defenders of his era, reaching his peak at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and his stats in Pro Evolution emphasise this. He is also famously known to have played for some of Europe's best ever teams.
 PES 6
Cannavaro played heroically at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, captaining Italy to victory, so in PES 6 his stats were raised and he became one of the strongest defenders in the game. He gained ratings of 97 in Defence, 95 in Response and 95 in Jump as well as 8 (the highest rating) in Condition.
 PES 2010
His stats started to deteriorate after not playing anymore at his standards for Juventus. In the latest Update he has stabilised his stat of 95 Defence.
 PES 2011
Joining Al Ahli after the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Cannavaro can only be found in the Italian national team. After poor performances for Italy and Juventus, his stats were dramatically lowered in the installment that would have reflected his last season as a player.
 PES 2013
In this version of the game, Cannavaro can be found in the Classic Italy squad, as the best overall defender of the game. He is considered as a grat sign in ML mode, as he has overall stats of 97.
