Gareth Southgate is a centre back for Classic England where he is known as Sumerslade who has now retired from professional football. In real life he is the manager of Middlesbrough. He also played for Middlesbrough in older PES games and was a key member of the England squad before the likes of John Terry forced him out of the team. In all he earned 57 caps for England including Euro 96 where he missed the decisive penalty in the semi-finals however he still qualified for a place in the Classic England team alongside other retired England greats.
