Gianluca Vialli (pronounced vee-AH-lee) is an Italian former footballer who retired in 1999 after playing for Chelsea. He was one of Italy's most prolific strikers and therefore gets a place in the Classic Italy squad (where he is known as Verroni) where he battles with Daniele Massaro and Pierluigi Casiraghi for a place in the team. In PES 2009, Vialli is a recommended signing along with Roberto Baggio and Roberto Donadoni and he is arguably better than the other strikers in the Classic Italy squad overall.
