Ivory Coast (or Côte d'Ivoire) made their first appearance on the game during PES6, due to them qualifying for the 2006 World Cup and also made a return on PES 2008 and PES 2009. In recent years Ivory Coast have become a dominant force in African football along with Ghana. Ivory Coast have a strong team statistically with a balanced defence, a very strong midfield and good attackers. The most noticeable players on the team are Didier Drogba, Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue, Yaya Toure, Salomon Kalou and Didier Zokora. Ivory Coast have been licenced on both games they have appeared on. They wear an orange home kit and a green away kit both sponsored by Puma. Ivory Coast player Didier Drogba is one of the three players on PES 08 that can do the heel flick trick.
