James Beattie is an English striker who plays for Stoke City after a winter switch from Championship side Sheffield United. Beattie was bought to score goals for Stoke and help them remain in the top flight of English football. Beattie did not appear as a licensed player in the original PES 2009 (As he was playing at a side who did not feature in the game) but was put into the game once the February Update was installed and he has been rewarded with a Preset face. His unlicensed name is Bennie.

He has appeared with Everton and Southampton in earlier versions of PES.
