Vertonghen is a promising player, seen as the defender of the future. In Master League Mode, he develops well, into a peak around the 80s, becoming one of the best defenders in the Eredivisie. He is a worth signing, but you you will have to place a good bid, because he is one of the Ajax most popular players, and not so easy to get.
At Ajax he is a strong player who and rarely makes mistakes. He also works very well together with Alderweireld. However his stats are quite low if you compare them to his rivals Oleguer and Wielaert who he keeps on the bench. The game developers underrated a lot of players from the Eredivisie. This is an example together with Toby Alderweireld who has given dramatic stats by Konami.
