Jermaine Jones is a German-born American midfielder playing for Schalke 04. He is a good defensive midfielder.

Jones held a USA passport making him eligible to play for the United States (he made his debut in 2010). Jones declared to do so as he saw no possibility to break into the German national team due to the competition from other defensive midfielders such as Torsten Frings, Thomas Hitzlsperger and Simon Rolfes.
