Olympique Marseille (pronounced Mar-SAY) are among the top sides in their League, and do contain some classy individuals in their side but however are pretty weak compared to Olympique Lyonnais

Some say Marseille will not be a major force in PES 2009 because they have recently sold arguably their three of their best players in French prodigy Samir Nasri to Arsenal, goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso to Toulouse and their best striker Djibril Cisse on loan to Sunderland. Their star players are former Liverpool winger Boudewijn Zenden, Gael Givet, Taye Taiwo, captain Lorik Cana and newly signed Hatem Ben Arfa from Lyon. Also the recent arrival of Lucho Gonzalez from Porto should give their midfield a huge boost.
