Martin Škrtel (pronounced SKIRT-el) is an Slovakian defender playing for Liverpool. The former Zenit defender has won some fans since his transfer in January 2008 but his stats have not increased since PES 2008 so he is underrated and behind Jamie Carragher and Daniel Agger in the pecking order.

PES 2009

Skrtel made his first licensed PES appearance having previously appeared only in the Slovakia national team under the name Sirakel. In PES 2009 he has hair instead of being bald even though most fans believe he deserves a preset.

His development curve is also very unimpressive with him already being at his peak

PES 2010

However in this installment of the game Skrtel does receive a Preset and a stat boost and if played alongside Agger, the defensive line up is incredibly strong.
