Patrick Helmes is a German striker playing for Bayer Leverkusen. He is a fast player and has broken into the German national team replacing players such as Oliver Neuville and Kevin Kuranyi.

He is an unlockable player in PES 2009 and his is fake name in PES is Hector. Curiously enough Konami has choosen to register him as a wing forward only, despite the fact that Helmes is one of the best center forwards of the Bundesliga.

After the licensing of the German national team, he is granted a Preset Face but is still without a club and only appears in Master League as a youth player. His position error was also fixed.
