Peru are a respectable nation who rarely qualify for major tournaments but still pose a threat and can beat some of the top national sides from time to time. In PES 2009 they are minus quality players such as Jefferson Farfan and Claudio Pizarro. However they still have some notable players such as the wonderkid Reimond Manco and players such as Nolberto Solano, Ernesto Arakaki, Miguel Villalta, Jose Paolo Guerrero , Juan Vargas and Santiago Acasiete .
Like many other South American teams, Peru have never been licensed due to poor licensing issues covered by Konami however they do have the correct names like all other South American teams in recent PES games.
FIFA has now remove the suspension so Peru can participate in international competitions
