A preset face is a PES term for a detailed and realistic face produced by Konami as opposed to a default face bearing no resemblance. Preset faces are usually better than a build face ever can be. They are given to players who Konami deem to be notable such as world class players or players who play for licensed national teams such as South Korea, Australia, Greece, Brazil and so on.
They are becoming more common as the game goes on so many players do have preset faces compared to the small few that did in earlier versions of PES.
It should also be noted that in earlier versions of PES such as PES 3 and 4 players would share the same preset if they looked similar.
