Pro Evolution Soccer Management (or PESM for short) is the only football management game released by Konami as a spin-off of the Pro Evolution Soccer series. It was poorly received by critics and a sequel is unlikely.
[edit] Gameplay
The games use the PES 4 match engine however the management feel/gameplay wasn't a cut ahead of the likes of LMA Manager, Football Manager or even FIFA Manager.
The database of players was from PES 5 and included the Bundesliga, however the game was criticised as there was no promotion or relegation and the poor licensing made it difficult to play. For example unlicensed players didn't show up during player searches.
The game featured "Glory Points" which were earned every time a match was completed and they could be spent on unlockables. The Glory Points could also be used to apply for a new club, unlock certain players or extra features,.
You could also have interviews with your players but these made little difference to the overall review of the game.
[edit] Leagues
At the start of the game, you are asked to select the club you want to manage. You have a selection of 108 clubs, ranging from 6 different leagues to choose from. These are:
-
Premiership (unlicensed)
-
Ligue 1 (unlicensed)
-
Serie A (Cagliari unlicensed)
-
Bundesliga (unlicensed)
-
Eredivisie
-
La Liga
