Ricardo Vaz Tê is a Portuguese striker playing for Bolton. He has been at Bolton all his senior career and since he has not represented his country at senior level he is eligible to play for the England national side, though this is not possible in PES 2009 as the ability to change a players nationality is disabled.

Many expected Vaz Te to be at Racing Santander at PES09's release as a deal had been struck between Santander and Bolton for Ebi Smolarek to move to Bolton on loan with Vaz Te going the other way on loan but whilst Smolarek joined Bolton Vaz Te did not move in the other direction.

Vaz Te is a pacy striker and has a decent development curve in Master League Mode making him a worthwhile signing. He struggles to make the Bolton first team with Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander being first choice and he is best used as an impact sub.
