Russia in PES 2008 are a fairly average side but with their impressive performances in Euro 2008 they have a slight stat boost in PES 2009 especially after eliminating favourites Netherlands.

Due to the Russians using a totally different alphabet, some names may have more than one way of being spelled when using Latin characters

After being an impressing in recent times, Russia look a dangerous outfit in PES with their star players including the likes Arsenal's Andrei Arshavin, Tottenham forward Roman Pavlyuchenko, goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev and Chelsea's Yuri Zhirkov. However they are unlicensed yet again which puts many gamers off playing with them, however Pavylchenko and Akinfeev are now Preseted like Arshavin in the squad.

However the 23 man squad is relatively unchanged.
