William "Willy" Sagnol (pronounced SANN-yol) is a former French international defender who last played for Bayern Munich. He won over 50 caps for France where he was the first choice right back for a number of years and was known for his long passing ability. Sagnol is effective at defending and attacking making him a rare talent which will be sorely missed by France and Bayern Munich.
Sagnol announced his retirement in January 2009 after not being able to recover from an injury which means he will not be available in the next installment of PES but only as an unlockable player.
