Xabier "Xabi" Alonso (pronounced SHA-bee a-LON-zo) is a Spanish international midfielder playing for Real Madrid.

Previous PES Installments

Alonso appeared for Real Sociedad in early versions of the game and features relatively average stats, but is considered one of Real's better players along with fellow Spainar, Mikel Arteta.

After a transfer to English side Liverpool, Alonso received a stat boost and was in the first team alongside talismanic midfielder Steven Gerrard, whom both possess long range shooting ability and linked up very well with each other.

In PES 2008 he has around one or two years in improving then he has the same stats near enough for the rest of his career.

PES 2010

In the demo he still plays for Liverpool although he should be playing for Real Madrid. He has the card Pinpoint Pass where he is a long ball expert who can play quality passes from deep.

Playing Style

Alonso possesses a deadly shot and is known for scoring long range goals, such as 50 to 60 yards so his shot in PES reflects this. He is an excellent passer of the ball and is a very good defending midfielder and can attack. He is seen as a deep-lying play-maker.
