Xavi Hernandez, commonly referred to as Xavi, is a Spanish midfielder who plays for Barcelona.

Xavi has appeared in all the PES series with Barcelona as he has spent his career to date with them. Xavi is an excellent passer of the ball and is known for spectacular long range drives and free kicks. His high passing accuracy means he, like his team mate Andres Iniesta, has the potential to set up plenty of goals for Barca and for Spain.

[edit] PES 2010

He has the card Talisman which allows him to drive the team forward similarly to Iniesta which produces a good pairing in midfield.

[edit] PES 2012

Xavi remains as the best midfield player in the game, but by being 32 years old, his stats will start to decline, making him not a great signing for Master League. He is, however, still has one of the best passing in the whole game. He, alongside Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas, are a great midfield trio, helping Lionel Messi and Barcelona to score a great amount of goals.

[edit] Real Life

He was voted the best player at the Euro 2008. He received five Ballon d'Or nominations, and finished on third place in 2009, 2010 and 2011 (in all these years, his colleague, Lionel Messi was the winner). He made his debut in Spain national football team in 2000 and had been capped for more than 100 times. He had won 2010 World Cup and Euro 2008 with Spain and 6 La Liga, 3 Champions League, 2 Club World Cup and several other titles with Barcelona. He is also considered as one of the best player in the world.
